Donate

The Louisiana Policy Institute for Children believes that a stronger Louisiana starts with successful children.

Your donation will help ensure that we continue to advocate for best practices, policies, and funding priorities at the state and local levels so more families with young children across Louisiana can access and afford high-quality early child care and education in order to succeed in their futures. Our continued success depends on the support of friends like you who are champions for children.

Our Impact

  • Created new revenue streams for early care and education by advocating for the allocation of 25% of sports betting revenues (up to $20 million) and 50% of NBA Pelicans specialty license plate revenues to the Louisiana Early Childhood Education Fund.
  • Raised and distributed over $300K to child care providers affected by Hurricane Ida to help them with short-term recovery in order to meet the needs of families as they recovered from the hurricane in partnership with Agenda for Children.
  • Supported Caddo Parish and Jefferson Parish in joining Orleans Parish among a small vanguard of cities in the Deep South that are investing local funds to expand access to quality early care and education.
  • Grew the Ready Louisiana Coalition to 110 members that include chambers of commerce, United Ways, and community organizations in advocating for increased access to quality early care and education.
