July 2023 Monthly Update
This month, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) celebrated and honored the second Annual Early Childhood Teacher and Leader of the Year at the 17th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Awards Gala. We congratulate Arielle Hughes for being recognized as Louisiana’s Early Childhood Leader of the Year and Phedra Jackson for being recognized as Louisiana’s Early Childhood Teacher of the Year. Both women continue to strive for excellence for our youngest learners.
Our partner, For Providers by Providers, is holding their first annual early learning conference A New Era for Early Childhood Education: Focus on Growth & Wellness. Motivational keynote speakers, expert panelists, presenters, and wellness professionals will convene on August 3-5, 2023, at Southern University at New Orleans to create a truly unforgettable professional development event for leaders in early childhood education.
